A QBR template: agenda, slide outline and follow-up email

By Draft First, October 2026

A good QBR is a conversation about the customer's results, not a tour of your product. This template keeps it to 45 minutes and six slides. For gathering the facts with AI, see QBR prep with AI.

A 45 minute agenda

  1. Their update (5 min). What's changed on their side since last quarter?
  2. Goals and results (15 min). The goals they set, and the evidence for each.
  3. What didn't go well (5 min). Named by you, with the plan.
  4. Next quarter (15 min). Agree two or three goals.
  5. Owners and dates (5 min).

Six slide outline

  1. Their goals, in their words, from last QBR or the success plan.
  2. Results against each goal, in their numbers, with the source.
  3. Adoption: which teams use it, which don't, and why that matters.
  4. Support and issues: top themes and what changed.
  5. What we got wrong and what we're doing about it.
  6. Next quarter: proposed goals, owners, dates. Leave room to change them in the meeting.

2. Export fix confirmed for Jan 20. Owner: Sam.
3. Next QBR: week of April 13.

If I missed anything, reply and I'll update it.

Sam
